The optional XM Satellite Weather and Entertainment package available for the Cessna Caravan Turboprop Airplane gives reliable weather data as well as tips for avoiding hazardous weather. Graphical weather data and text is displayed on the MFD and the PFD inset map. The GDL 69A can also receive XM Satellite Radio entertainment services. Includes FK 675W, 4-place intercom in cabin. This option is available for U.S. customers only and requires a subscription service.

Terrain awareness

The Garmin TAWS (Terrain Awareness and Warning System) is an optional feature in your Cessna Caravan to increase situational awareness and enhance safety by helping reduce the risk of controlled flight into terrain (CFIT). With this option, you will both see and hear alerts from the system when your aircraft comes within a certain altitude threshold from any terrain or obstacles.
